Principle Responsibilities |
● Provide cheerful, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all guests in their area ● Train and manage staff to have the knowledge to carry out a safe, impactful, and fun program ● Monitor equipment conditions and remove any unsafe equipment from use ● Monitor conditions of facilities, report any deficiencies to the Aerial Sports Director, and modify programming to ensure participant safety ● Provide periodic performance evaluations of staff and partake in any disciplinary actions ● Responsible for all paperwork and inventory control for the program operations, equipment, and facilities under their responsibility ● Write an end-of-season report with recommendations for improving venue operations ● Effectively maintain a training and practitioner experience portfolio ● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership ● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook |
Qualifications & Training |
● 21 years of age or older ● Required: BSA C.O.P.E. Direction National Camp School Card (training provided) ● Required 1+ yr. leading teams, Prefer 1+ Summit employment ● Documented Canopy/Zip Line Tour work experience ● Comfortable at heights of 6' to 180' ● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination ● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America |
Performance Results |
● Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences ● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants ● Contribute at least one improvement to the Rocks/Canopy program ● Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant |
Physical Requirements |
● Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 65-85 lbs. ● Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE |
